Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Manager 3, Capture Management. This individual will lead capture-related activities for medium- to large-sized programs. The successful candidate will have a chance to lead some of the most exciting new capture opportunities in the areas of distributed and synthetic test and training environments.

This individual will work closely with Northrop Grumman’s leadership team and other industry and government partners to run all aspects of his/her assigned pursuits. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with experience in captures/proposals that will lead an overall capture effort, including investment strategy, supplier and contract partnerships, technical development, and customer relationships and alignment of priorities. Must be adept at quickly understanding what is required to win, developing compelling value propositions, and preparing strong business cases to leadership. Must have proven strong team leadership skills and writing abilities.  Candidate must be comfortable with briefing at the executive level and establishing NDAs, working with GSC, teaming, and sourcing.

Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Capture Leadership
Customer relationship management and development;  Customer acquisition approach analysis and shaping; Government Relations collaboration on engagement strategies and execution
Developing capture strategy and tactics to produce capture products such as competitive assessments, teaming strategies, and prices-to-win analysis results applied to improve competitive posture.
Developing clear and concise Win Themes and Value Propositions for the capture.
Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and functional organizations involved in program pursuit.
Developing relationships with teaming partners and industry associations to help drive partnerships.
Coordinating and collaborating with line of business management, strategy, business and finance, contracts and global supply chain, technology and engineering offices and functions.
Development and management of investment capture project funds, schedule, and execution.
Proposal development including managing process, writing proposal responses and developing pricing to deliver compelling and compliant proposals.
Clear, concise and actionable briefings to the NG Defense leadership team

Ethics

Ensuring new business activity is carried out in accordance with government, customer, and Northrop Grumman policies, procedures, and processes.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
10+ years’ experience with capture management, program management, and/or business development.
Self-directed leader with strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience leading and directing activities of team members through execution of a formal capture process
Experience interfacing with senior management, peers, and employees
Aptitude to develop and execute to a strategy
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
This position may require up to 25% travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM).
Experience managing competitive captures of $100M in value or greater.
Experience leading and managing geographically dispersed teams.
Experience in program planning, budget development and execution, workforce planning, risk management, and the implementation of project processes and controls.
Knowledge and understanding of the U.S. Government’s competitive acquisition process including federal procurement regulations (FAR/DFAR).
Current user and acquisition customer relationships.
Current/active TS/SCI security clearance.

This position reports to Orlando, FL, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Fairfax, VA, VA, USA.

Salary Range: $152,100 USD – $228,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
