Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the Global Travel Accounting team. The selected individual will report to the manager of Travel Accounting and assist the Team with administering the Corporate travel program. The Accounting Assistant should have excellent people skills, organizational ability and a great deal of communication skills.

This role will offer telework, but candidates must be local to one of our Northrop Grumman offices (preferably our office in Irving, TX) and able to go on site for training or special project purposes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Process and audit expense reimbursements and credit card transactions for compliance to NG policies
Utilize Concur, internal governing documents, and external guidance to perform research of expense reports
Perform accounting activities such as payment reconciliations, general ledger account reconciliations, and ad hoc reporting
Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills to help resolve complex travel inquiries
Monitor and work to departmental and individual processing metrics
Clearly and professionally communicate related travel, accounting policies and procedures
Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity

Basic Qualifications: 

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience
Intermediate Excel skills
Concur and SAP experience
Demonstrate ability to apply travel and accounting policies decisively and methodically
Excellent customer service skills 
Local to one of our Northrop Grumman offices and able to go on site for training or special project purposes.

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

Local to our office in Irving, TX
Demonstrate an understanding of travel and expense, imputed income, general ledger account reconciliations, and internal/external audits
Have an in-depth understanding of business processes, especially Northrop Grumman segments and work structures
1 to 3 years Travel and Expense experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance or related field
Experience in a financial services environment
Advanced Excel Skills
Understanding of FAR, GAAP, CAS, and SOX requirements

Salary Range: $32,300 USD – $53,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
