Come be a part of our mission!Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Network Engineer to join the DARC Program to lead the implementation and management of the required network infrastructure(s) for the DARC program. The selected candidate will work collaborative with DARC technical elements such as cybersecurity, hardware engineering, and systems engineering to achieve successful outcomes and mission success.As the Lead Network Engineer within the DARC program you will get to:
Assume primary responsibility for a large system network design and implementation
Develop network switch configurations for multiple Cisco Catalyst 9000-based switches
Develop firewall configurations for Cisco firewalls
Develop router configurations for Cisco routers
Manage network environment privileged access configurations
Responsible for configuration management of all switch configurations
Implement cybersecurity log capture and forwarding for all network devices
Support physical installation at factory location and at future deployed site
Provide network testing and troubleshooting methods at OSI layers 1 – 3 during respective installations
Develop and maintain network throughput and quality performance measures and metrics for multiple critical system interfaces
Support implementation of WAN connections from networks outside system boundary
This position can be staffed at a level 3 or 4 based on the qualifications below.Basic Qualifications:
Level 3: Bachelors and 5 years of relevant network engineering experience. Or, a Masters and 3 years. 4 additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree
Level 4: Bachelors and 9 years of relevant network engineering experience. Or, a Masters and 7 years. 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Expert level TCP/IP, networking protocols, routing concepts
Experience with Cisco IOS, Cisco Catalyst series hardware
Experience interpreting and implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for network cybersecurity hardening
Expert level understanding of network cabling (copper, fiber) and optical transceivers
Experience implementing and interfacing with virtual networks (e.g., VMware)
Advanced understanding of information systems infrastructure (servers, storage, networks, vendors, internal components, protocols, etc.)
Advanced Microsoft Visio
Experience with technical drawing discipline, standard conventions, effective visual representation of complex technical data
Intermediate Linux skills
Familiar with InfiniBand networking solutions
Advanced technical writing and documentation skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in a STEM Field
CompTIA Security+ Certification
Cisco Certified Network Associate
Advanced experience with the implementation of InfiniBand networking solutions
Advanced network design and re-design skills
Advanced Linux skills
Expert network troubleshooting skills from server/host end, through network interface devices, network switch infrastructure to destination

Salary Range: $86,300 USD – $129,500 USD
Salary Range 2: $107,000 USD – $160,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
