Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Command and Launch (C&L) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Lead Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO, Huntsville, AL, or Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Space System team supporting the Air Force’s Sentinel (GBSD) program.
What you’ll get to do:
As Lead Systems Engineer, you will be the technical leader across a variety of C&L disciplines related to Systems Engineering. You will work closely with the C&L segment Chief Engineer as well as with the C&L SE&I Director. You will coordinate progress of C&L top issues and be the responsible SE&I representative for the Engineering Development Record (EDR)-Engineering Review Board (ERB) workflow, to include peer reviews and non-peer review participant identification and reporting of EDR status and issue tracking. You will be the SE&I delegate for C&L ERB and WS level Systems Engineering Review Board (SERB), responsible for understanding and communicating the impact of ERB changes across C&L. You will maintain technical presentation oversight and awareness for C&L SE&I material used by other teams. You will help maintain awareness and progress on technical debt, blockers, issue tracking, and status and statistics. You will ensure consistency across C&L for requirements development, verification approach, model governance, and other SE artifacts and processes. You will be the primary technical authority and interfaces to Weapon System SE, ensuring consistency in technical products, deliverables, and processes across segments.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll bring these qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
A minimum 14 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 12 years with a Master’s; or 9 years with PhD
Active DoD Secret clearance with investigation completed within the last 6 years or in continues evaluation (CE)
US Citizen with ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance
Demonstrated understanding of requirements development/management using DOORS or similar tool.
Demonstrated understanding of model development/management using CAMEO or similar tool.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work within a diverse team.
Model Based System Engineering with an understanding of DODAF or SysML
These qualifications would be nice to have:
Experience with complex system development on large programs
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance within 6 years.
Active Sentinel S//SAR or TS//SAR
Advanced degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field.
This position reports to Roy, UT, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Huntsville, AL, AL, USA.
Salary Range: $139,000 USD – $219,500 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
