Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a highly motivated Principal Systems Engineer/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to primarily support the E-2D Mission System programs as part of the Test and Evaluation Team. This position will be based in Melbourne, FL.

Candidate will provide support for all system test activities, to include test planning, creation of required test procedures, post test data analysis, creation of problem reports, and reporting on test results. Candidate shall display professionalism, leadership, have a strong work ethic, work well with others, and be able to function as member of the E-2D System Test Team.

Key Responsibilities:              

Assist in development, execution and peer review of test procedures

Participate in both Formal and Non-Formal Test execution events

Participate in test planning, problem report validation testing, and post testing data analysis

Provide support in the creation of required test artifacts used for official PCM and SRM releases to our customer

Attend and participate in all E2D System Test meetings

Basic Qualifications (Principal Systems Engineer):

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 5 years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline AND 3 years of relevant experience OR PhD Degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of relevant experience.

Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment

Must have experience generating technical documents and working with various software/data processing tools such as MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other various programming languages

Must have an understanding of common Test Engineering test methodologies and practices

Basic Qualifications (Sr. Principal Systems Engineer):

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 9 years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline AND 7 years of relevant experience OR PhD Degree in a STEM discipline AND 4 years of relevant experience.

Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment

Must have experience generating technical documents and working with various software/data processing tools such as MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other various programming languages

Must have an understanding of common Test Engineering test methodologies and practices

Preferred Experience: 

Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline

Software test automation experience

DoD Top Secret Clearance

Current E2 program clearance

Previous E-2D Hawkeye experience

Experience leading a small team or test effort

Salary Range: $90,400 USD – $135,600 USD
Salary Range 2: $112,000 USD – $168,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
