What You’ll get to Do: The NKW program is looking for a highly motivated individual with an impeccable work ethic and a strong ability to work in a collaborative fast-moving dynamic team environment. The primary team is located in Aurora, Colorado.

The NKW program is transforming a mission critical application to work in tomorrow’s environments through increased DevOps implementation and needs a DBA to support the team’s growth and continued success.

Basic Qualifications:

For a Principal Database Architect: Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field, with 5 + years of software development or relative experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years of IT or relative experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
For a Senior Principal Database Architect: Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field with 9+ years of software development experience; Master’s Degree with 7+ years of relative experience: Or a PhD with 4+ years of relative experience. An additional 4 years of relative software development experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience with Agile software development using Java, Python and/or C++ software development in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment
Experience with database administration with either Oracle or Postgres databases.
Ability to tuning databases performance
Ability to troubleshoot database issues.
Ability to design and implement database systems and schemas.
Ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) clearance (will not be required to start)
Ability to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly). Not required to start- candidate will be submitted for CI Poly upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with database administration with both Oracle and Postgres databases
Ability to tune and maintain high performing databases.
Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
Ability to design and implement database systems and schemas.
Ability to support development, test, and deployment teams through DB administration.
Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Current Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly) completed within the last 5 years

Salary Range: $90,600 USD – $136,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $112,300 USD – $168,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
