Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Sr. Manager Supply Chain – Level 3 to join our team in Palmdale, CA. Be a part of a team of qualified, dedicated, and diverse professionals designing, developing, building, and supporting some of the world’s most advanced products. This position will have limited opportunity to work remote and primarily works from our Palmdale, CA sites. Operating on our 9/80 schedule, this position will have the opportunity to have every other Friday off!

This position is dynamic and challenging, requiring ingenuity, collaboration, and an insatiable drive to make the impossible possible. We’ll support you with training, employee resource groups, and robust benefits as we work together to defend and define the future.

This position reports to the Palmdale GSC Goods Movement & Logistics Director for the Aeronautics Systems Sector. The Manager will serve as the Goods Movement Palmdale Site focal point for Warehousing and Distribution, Shipping and Receiving, and will be the Site manager for Site 8 Warehouse. Candidate will be the focal point for Program Managers, IPTs and Production Operations leadership within the Palmdale Site, CA AS group. The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing GM strategies to support all of the appropriate programs, with focus on achieving affordability, operational efficiency, safety and first-time quality targets. Candidate responsible for activities and knowledge within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain organization. Exhibits end-to-end supply chain competency.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Defines and develops warehouse and inventory strategies to meet Site/Program timelines and requirements.
Responsible for developing, implementing, and influencing the future course of storage and inventory management for AS Sites.
Leads long-term capacity analysis and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs.
Serves as consultant to management and external spokesperson for the organization on policies, plans, and objectives.
Acts as an advisor to senior management and customers by defining and developing storage and material handling strategy for implementation cross-functionally.
Develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
Able to communicate effectively and clearly present approaches and findings to senior leadership.
Supports proposal plans and writing assignments.
Implements and integrates scheduling systems and processes.
Leads Affordability Programs for all responsible sites
Operate company-owned vehicles to execute pick-up and delivery of parts between Northrop Grumman sites/buildings, and offsite locations at times. 
Any Ad Hoc projects assigned as required

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree with 5 years’ experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience; 11 or more years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements
3 or more years’ experience leading a large team to effectively execute a broad statement of work
Experience with manufacturing and supply chain operations with demonstrated and proven leadership skills and ability to collaborate effectively at all levels
MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) & knowledge of SAP
Familiarity with MMAS/DCMA/ISO 9001 requirements
This position requires a current DOD Secret clearance at a minimum to begin/start

Salary Range: $145,500 USD – $218,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
