Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3 (2nd Shift) to join our team building the Fiber Optic Acoustical System for the Virginia Class Fast Attack Submarines located in Salt Lake City, UT.

The Electromechanical Assembler will manufacture and perform a combination of duties for assembling and testing Fiber Optic products, like Couplers, Mandrels, Hydrophones and Array Assemblies. Will be expected to follow detailed build instructions, with the ability to use Fiber Optic test equipment. Will also like experience working with Molds for Potting parts. Needs to be able to lift 35 pounds.

Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of additional education and/or related experience.
Understanding of basic computer skills; Microsoft operating systems and office products.
Ability to work well with other team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

Manufacturing skills and having the knowledge of Fiber Optic handling and assembly.
Have experience with Fiber Optic Stripping, Cleaning, Splicing, Angle Cleaving, Fusing, and working with Molds for Potting parts.


Salary Range: $44,800 USD – $74,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
