NGDS’s Missile Products Division is seeking a Manager for Mission Assurance Engineering at our Allegany Ballistics Lab (ABL) location in Rocket Center, WV. ABL develops and manufactures a broad range of products, primarily for defense, with a focus on tactical solid rocket propulsion. This technical management position oversees a team Mission Assurance Engineers who support our product teams in the Electronic Fuzing Area.

Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs. Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements. Assesses program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.

Responsibilities for this position include:

Manage the daily operations of the Electronic Fuze Mission Assurance Engineers
Provide leadership and development support to team members
Analyze data and drive process improvements
Review and/or develop inspection plans based upon statistical methods
Use Lean tools such as risk assessment, 8D, DFMEA and/or PFMEA
Be a liaison with DCMA
Assure established policies and procedures are being followed
Manage group staffing to meet workload

Position Requirements:

BS or higher degree in STEM
Must be a US citizen
At least two years of Relevant Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance

Experience Preferred:

Able to use custom manufacturing software (i.e. Solumina) to maintain quality records, traceability, etc.
Lean Six Sigma training and certification
Knowledge of Electronic Fuzing
Possess an active Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $96,700 USD – $145,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
