Provides technical support to avionics manufacturing and electrical engineering groups on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as test results and aids in processing analysis, engineering design changes, test documentation, and data review of complex designs. Produces engineering documentation, analysis, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).  Under the guidance of senior engineers, support qualification testing, characterization testing, troubleshooting, and test data review of electrical components or subsystems.  Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation and reports.

Basic Qualifications: 

High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
Knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of test and measurement instrumentation such as multimeters, power supplies, function generators and oscilloscopes is required.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, works well with others in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

A 2 year technical degree or graduation from a military technical school along with 2 or more years of relevant experience.
Job Knowledge/Technical Skills – Basic understanding and application of company electrical engineering technical standards.

Ability to execute development/characterization tests and perform basic analyses under the close supervision of senior engineers.

Strong technical writing skills.

Solid experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.

Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S and Costpoint MES is a plus.

Problem Solving/Innovation – With guidance and direction from senior engineers, perform root cause analysis of failures involving complex assemblies.

Ability to perform basic circuit analysis and troubleshooting.

Liaison – Actively and effectively participates and contributes to the team in a positive manner.

Motivated to make an extra effort to provide quality internal and external customer service.

Constantly seeks new sources of information and provides information necessary to meet customer needs.

Salary Range: $44,900 USD – $74,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
