Northrop Grumman, Strategic Space Systems Division, has an opening for a Manager Engineering Technical Support 1 – Structures Test Operations, to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

The Environmental and Specialty Test department within the Materials, Manufacturing, Integration, Test & Launch (M2IT&L) directorate has a need for a Manager Engineering Technical Support 1 – Structures Test Operations to be a leading a team of individual contributors, and contribute directly to programs and other department activities.
This is a highly dynamic, interactive position. You will interact with numerous stakeholders including program management, business team, systems engineering, flight hardware design engineers and logistical support services. Outstanding organizational and leadership skills are required to succeed in these roles.
Oversee floor operations being executed by Test Conductors and Technicians
Ensuring effective coordination between disciplines: Structural Test Team, Program Leads, Test Engineering, Measurements, Mechanical Operations and Quality
Planning and reviewing procedures (Solumina, CAPE), engineering drawings, design reviews and program schedules to ensure customer requirements are met
Coordinating Structures Test staffing support to programs
Conducting periodic performance evaluations, including mid-year and annual reviews
Providing technical leadership and guidance to Test Conductors and Technicians
Developing and overseeing employee development and training
Supporting Functional Homeroom initiatives and projects which include process improvement and Corrective/Preventive Action implementation

Flexible Schedules: For example, some roles offer the ability to work a 9/80 work schedule, which allows an employee to work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off of work
Bachelors of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) related field plus 3 years of experience in a technical role OR a Master’s of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) related field plus 1 years of experience in a technical role OR High School Diploma/G.E.D plus 7 years of experience in a technical role.
Proven leadership experience on a project and/or team.
Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance or SCI Access.
An active SSBI, SCI or Secret clearance.
Experience with Structural Test methodologies
Experience in space systems and space system production, integration and test.
Salary Range: $112,000 USD – $168,000 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
