The Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems Division’s Thresher program – located in Gilbert, AZ or Dulles, VA – has an immediate need for a Program Operations Manager. The Program Operations Manager must be a self-starting, self-motivated individual who can provide guidance and oversight to numerous disparate activities in a fast-paced, high visibility environment.

The responsibilities of the Program Operations Manager include:

Managing and maintaining the day-to-day interfaces and communications between Program Management Office (PMO), Manufacturing, Card Test, Mission Assurance (MA), Supply Chain (SCM), Engineering, Planning and Shipping
Serving as the Cost Account Manager (CAM) and reporting Earned Value Management System (EVMS) status for all program material purchases
Tracking material orders, delivery schedules and forecasting delivery of all parts
Working directly with external manufacturers to track and optimize build flows and schedules, facilitate parts and finished product shipping, and resolve issues impacting build or schedule
Facilitating internal meetings to support procurement, design, production, and problem resolutions
Work with assigned Operations Project Managers (OPMs) with product tracking, engineering, and manufacturing
Coordinating with assigned OPMs, Supply Chain, and Inventory Lead to ensure material availability, all material receipts are processed, parts are kitted and shipping requirements are in place
Engaging and collaborating with program and functional organizations, from individual contributors to executive staff, to obtain, understand, and interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

Experience in leadership and project management
Experience in Manufacturing, Test, and/or Production environments
Earned Value Management experience
Working knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point
Demonstrated ability in working with cross organizational teams and customers

Basic Qualifications:

HS Diploma & 10 years’ experience in space industry
The candidate must have experience with material and manufacturing planning
The candidate must have experience in leadership and project management
Must have US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
Experience with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement
Manufacturing or Engineering experience
Experience with bases of estimates, shop order creation, and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
Experience in working with Supply Chain to manage delivery schedules and workarounds

This position reports to Gilbert, AZ, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Dulles, VA, VA, USA.

Salary Range: $92,400 USD – $138,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
