We are currently seeking experienced Configuration Analyst to be part of the Configuration Management team in our Promontory or Bacchus (Magna), UT offices.

Job Responsibilities:

Participates in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for systems, products and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements including:

Following specific set of documentation rules and guidelines to ensure technical content meets internal and external customer requirements

Researching and verifying technical content as needed

Evaluating technical content for cohesiveness and completeness  

Coordinating changes to product design documents with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and other support organizations. Ensures that customer requirements are implemented and ensures compliance with configuration management policies

Performing engineering data control activities which may include: administration of government/industry documents (change notice, impact assessment, and where-used creation) and creation/release of parts

Participates in modifying and providing input to policies and procedures that govern CM-related processes, collaborating with stakeholders to identify and pursue CM process improvements

Prepares and maintains program plans that define how configuration management will be accomplished on multiple strategic, commercial and developmental programs

Directly and professionally interfaces with customers, functional/integrated product teams, and others in accomplishing CM for multiple strategic and commercial programs

Represents strategic and commercial programs on committees aimed at integrating or standardizing CM-related initiatives across programs and across divisions.  Proposes and champions changes to driving requirements, where appropriate

Represents strategic and commercial programs in selection, development, implementation and maintenance of digital tools such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools, and design/modeling/production software

Provides expertise and CM solutions in meeting customers’ and company objectives

Performs troubleshooting and determines solutions for CM-related issues

Completes Parts Lists and creates Parts IAW Gov/Industry standards and PS Command Media

Skills & Qualifications:

Broad understanding of CM principles, methods, and product lifecycles

Strong interpersonal savvy, skilled in collaboration and conflict management

Solid skill level in Microsoft Office products

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture

Ability to work on a team or independently as needed

Excellent decision making capability to make timely decisions with the information at hand

This position often involves critical thinking skills to evaluate technical content for cohesiveness and completeness

CMII certification preferred

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience or 1 year of experience with a Master’s degree, 6 years of experience may consider in lieu of the degree

Position can be filled one level higher with 6 years of experience a BS or 4 years with a MS or 10 years of experience without degree

Working knowledge and understanding of engineering documentation (i.e. drawings, specifications, parts lists, change notices, manufacturing plans, test or laboratory procedures)

Knowledge or demonstrated experience using PLM, CAD, or MRP software

Knowledge of how business processes work together to ensure interfaces with other business processes are efficient

Effective communicator skilled at collaborating with others to get work done and manage conflicting priorities

This position reports to Corinne, UT, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Magna, UT, UT, USA.

Salary Range: $58,800 USD – $88,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $72,400 USD – $108,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
