Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Proposal Analyst/ Proposal Analyst. This position will be located at our Space Systems Sector in Redondo Beach, CA.

Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong work ethics and analytical skills to work closely with the pricing and business management team across multiple programs and new pursuits. Successful candidates must have excellent communication, quantitative, research, and analytical skills and the capability to lead small to medium proposals. Candidate would effectively be responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development, production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing contracts. In addition, candidate will support gate reviews, government audits, customer fact-finding and negotiations with the customer. 

Candidate selected must have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) security clearance and/or Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI) Access.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Develops, plans and schedules proposals. Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications. Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments. Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts. Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings. Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives. Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team.

Basic Qualifications: 

This requisition may be filled at either a level 1 or a level 2.

Basic qualifications for a level 1 is a Bachelor’s Degree.

Basic qualifications for a level 2 is a Master’s Degree.

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution

Be majoring in or having majored in a business management degree or related field

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)

Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications: 

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher

Previous work experience with SAP

Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and other government regulation

Active Top Secret (TS) and/or Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI) clearance

Proficiency with MS Office Suite; Excel, PowerPoint and Word 

Salary Range:

Level 1: $58,000.00 – $87,000.00

Level 2: $70,200.00 – $105,200.00
