The Aeronautics Systems Talent Development team is looking for an experienced Senior Leadership Development Consultant who can help modernize and accelerate leadership capabilities for emerging leaders through executive level leadership. As the Senior Leadership Development Consultant, you will leverage your instructional design expertise to increase the effectiveness of current leadership development programs and partner in the design and delivery of new leadership development programs and learning experiences. Through your work with leaders, you will play a key role in unleashing innovation throughout the organization and driving business results!
The preference is for this position to be based in Melbourne, FL or Palmdale, CA but full-time remote work may be available for the right candidate.
Leverage the instructional design (ISD) process to conduct needs assessments, develop learning objectives, design learning content, and measure effectiveness of leadership development programs
Refine development approach and continuously improve learning outcomes by using an outcome-based learning measurement approach. Track, measure, and analyze learning effectiveness using the Kirkpatrick Model of Training Evaluation
Develop presentations, visual aids, applying creativity and design skills to create engaging leadership development content and resources
Conduct research to identify best practices and industry trends related to leadership development including: leadership trends, program content, learning theory, and program design and delivery
Lead and/or support the delivery and facilitation of leadership programs to include: Live in-person and virtual presentations, group discussions, individual and group activities, and leadership forums
Partner with others on the Organizational Effectiveness team to create instructional resources and course materials for employee development programs, as needed
10 Years with Bachelors; 8 Years with Masters; experience should be in learning and development, talent development, human resources, instructional design or related discipline
Experience (certificate or degree) as an Instructional Designer (ISD) in a corporate learning/training organization focused on analysis, design and development of leadership development curriculums and course materials utilizing multiple delivery modalities
Experience in the development of virtual, classroom and blended learning training, adult learning methodologies, and leadership development principles
Experience working with clients/stakeholders to analyze existing practices, recommend improvements and lead change initiatives as it relates to course delivery
Demonstrated experience with adult learning principles, learning and development life cycle, and evaluation of learning programs
Demonstrated ability and proven experience communicating, presenting, and delivering engaging learning experiences to all levels of management including senior executives
Possess exceptional problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail
Proficiency using Office365 (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and web-based collaborative platform (e.g., SharePoint)
Ability to travel 25-50% of the time
Proficiency and experience in Adobe Pro and web-based collaborative platform (e.g., SharePoint)
Prior experience as a leader, HR business partner, or other HR COE role
Experience using Design Thinking and facilitating workshops
DDI Facilitator Certification
Strong facilitation skills and demonstrated experience training professionals up to senior management level in both live in-person and live-virtual environments
Experience in aerospace and defense and/or manufacturing industry
This position reports to Melbourne, FL, USA, however, you are able to work from any of the additional 3 locations listed above.
Salary Range: $89,800 USD – $155,900 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
