Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager Systems Engineering to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

   

The selected candidate will work closely with the RQ-4 Program Team across the Enterprise in various engineering functions to ensure the overall system meets all performance requirements and manage the Technical Baseline across RQ-4 programs.

Essential Functions:

Ensure successful requirements definition, decomposition, allocation, and final verification across a complex system.
Manage the technical baseline of multiple RQ-4 variants at different levels of technical maturity, ensuring successful milestone reviews (e.g. SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, FCA).
Tailor Requirements and Verification processes to ensure appropriate rigor is applied to a program’s size/scope/complexity.
Lead a multidisciplinary team to decompose and define customer CONOPs, Performance Specifications, and Use Cases/OpsCon scenarios into robust, verifiable requirements at the System and Segment Level.
Define and maintain standard R&V products and processes, ensuring appropriate usage across all programs.
Define and maintain standard MBSE products and processes, ensuring appropriate tailoring and usage across all programs.
Work with RQ-4 SE&I Lead to develop and implement long term strategies for improving requirements management and use of MBSE.
Utilize Agile methodologies which will enable rapid capability insertion and reduce time to field Implement tools, technologies, and procedure to enable more efficient integration. 
Manage and lead R&V and MBSE teams across all variants within the RQ-4 Enterprise.  
Oversee appropriate implementation of below-Segment level requirements (i.e. Subsystem/Element or Unit HW and SW) within other IPTs
Presentation skills to effectively provide status to internal executive management and customers.

Basic Qualifications:

BS degree in engineering or science and 9 years of related experience or 7 years with a Masters.
DOORS experience with an emphasis on requirements management and metrics generation.
Previous Experience leading Milestone Reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR, FCA)
Previous Experience in managing Technical Baselines (Functional and Allocated Baselines)
Previous experience in defining and developing system architectures in and MBSE architecture tool.
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Experience leading a team of 10+ individuals in a technical environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

MS degree in a STEM Field
Experience with interfaces ICDs
Experience in developing proposals for R&V and MBSE efforts
Requirements verification and validation experience including generating Requirements Verification Plans (RVPs), generating Requirements Verification Reports (RVRs), verification sell-off.  Preferred Functional Configuration Audit (FCA) experience.
MBSE experience and Use Case generation per SYSML/UML standards with an understanding of OV-1 down to SV-4 diagrams. DODAF architecture knowledge.
Experience as Segment-Level Systems Engineer
Experience managing suppliers
Experience in Agile Development
Experience in Autonomous Systems Programs
Experience working on US Air Force Programs
Experience working on FMS or Export controlled Programs
Active TS/SCI.

Salary Range: $171,000 USD – $256,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
