SSSD has an opening for a Manager Programs 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of a Space Vehicle and Payload Products Program (SV&PP) within the Space Systems Directed Energy and Strategic Products Business Unit. Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinate the preparation of ECPs, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Act as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establish design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Provide direction to the program team from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and 9 years, or Master’s and 7 years’ experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or program management in other industries

8 years of experience leading the performance of contracts and proven performance achieving cost, schedule, and technical requirements

Strong Capture Management experience that shapes customers’ expectations

Strong personal verbal and written communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing development contracts

The ability to recognize and respond to customer needs in order to develop additional sales that support organizational objectives.

Experience in Proposal Management.

Ability to identify, select and manage subcontract and supply chain elements of program management.

This position reports to Redondo Beach, CA, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Manhattan Beach, CA, CA, USA.

Salary Range: $176,100 USD – $264,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
