We are seeking a cleared or clearable Operations Systems Engineer who is self-motivated, energetic with knowledge and experience in Assembly and Production. This role will support on-going programs and rapidly growing business.

The Operations Systems Engineer (OSE) engages with the business during pre-proposal and proposal program phases to offer insight into manufacturing processes. This Engineer also aligns manufacturing capital and internal research and development (IRAD) resources to the development of technologies  based on business program needs.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
– Interface with business division to stay current with new concept and proposal programs
– Technical interface for Business Division integrated program teams (IPT)
– Participate in producibility reviews for new product designs
– Develop discriminating IRAD and capital investment plans with the rest of the Manufacturing Team

– Provide technical direction and support for the Manufacturing Area

– Participate in a continuous improvement program that improves efficiency and affordability

– Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations

– Collaborate with multiple functions and managers to achieve program requirements and manufacturing goals

 

The ideal candidate:

–          Is self-motivated and passionate about Manufacturing, specifically in electronics assembly

–          Must be able to understand complex technical issues and frame them in context for program management and assemblers alike

–          Has excellent organizational and communication skills

–          Has the ability to find technical adjacencies across different electronic product applications

This position will be filled at either the Principal Operations Systems Engineer or the Sr Principal Operations Systems Engineer

 

Basic Qualifications Principal Operations Systems Engineer:

–          Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, science or other relevant STEM area plus 5 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience

–          Broad knowledge of processes and materials used to make Electronic Assemblies including cable assemblies, circuit boards and/or electronic enclosures

–          Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret clearance. This requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications Principal Operations Systems Engineer:

–          Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, science or other relevant STEM area plus 9 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience

–          Broad knowledge of processes and materials used to make Electronic Assemblies including cable assemblies, circuit boards and/or electronic enclosures

–          Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret clearance. This requires US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

–          6 or more years of manufacturing process engineering related experience

–          2 or more years of program experience (operations program manager, program management)

–          Familiarity with process development and control methodologies such as Design of Experiment (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and 6 sigma concepts

–          Understanding of factory costing methodology and process yield metrics

–          Basic understanding of concepts related to typical manufacturing systems such as: MRP, kitting, batch sizing, configuration control and workflow routings

–          Familiarity with MIL-STD, JEDEC and Space class hardware requirements

Salary Range: $95,100 USD – $142,700 USD
Salary Range 2: $117,900 USD – $176,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
