Description – External

Performs non-destructive tests (NDT) on flight vehicle motors and components. Inspects metallic and nonmetallic materials, parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods and techniques including radiography, ultrasound, penetrant, eddy current, laser shearography, and magnetic particle. Requires certifications in non-destructive testing in accordance with regulations.

Qualifications – External

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
U.S. Citizenship; must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Must be able to obtain industry related certifications to include: Level II certifications in penetrant testing (PT), ultrasonic testing (UT) and radiographic testing (RT).
Must be willing and able to work multiple shifts.
Must be action oriented, able to collaborate in a team environment, communicate effectively and display good interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing experience
Previous experience in non-destructive testing or related experience

Salary Range: $37,700 USD – $62,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
