Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Logistics Project Management / Sr Principal Logistics Project Management. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.  Learn more about the GBSD program here. 

What You’ll Get To Do: 

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

Provide experience-based suggestions to the design teams with the operational maintainer in mind.

Coordinate feedback to design teams and suppliers. Will be proficient and knowledgeable in EMD acquisition contracts. General understanding of reliability and availability.

Prepare and manage schedules and prepares status reports on the health of the projects.

Identify risks and opportunities and coordinates with project teams to mitigate and retire risks.

Develop and maintain trade studies to include reviewing & updating assessments by preparing Basis of Estimates (BOEs), performing quality checks on all proposal submittals, and attending design reviews.

Evaluate issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.

Prepare heading check executive level briefings for management and develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and tools for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and customers.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, work autonomously under general direction and will demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Principal Logistics Project Management: 6 Years of experience with Bachelor’s degree; 4 Years with Masters. 

Sr Principal Logistics Project Management:  10 Years of experience with Bachelor’s degree; 8 Years with Masters. 

Active DOD Secret Clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 5 years.

Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain access to Special Access Programs (SAP) as a condition of continued employment.

Must have excellent technical writing and Microsoft application skills. 

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Principal Logistics Project Management: 5+ Years of ICBM Experience in 2M0X1 (EMT) or 2M0X2 (MMT/MHT) or 2M0X3 (FMT) USAF career fields for Principal

Sr Principal Logistics Project Management:  10+ Years of ICBM Experience in 2M0X1 (EMT) or 2M0X2 (MMT/MHT) or 2M0X3 (FMT) USAF career fields for Sr. Principal

Good verbal and interpersonal skills required to work closely with teammates, stakeholders and both internal and external customers.

Program management or operations experience

Aviation maintenance experience

Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

Salary Range: $72,400 USD – $108,600 USD
Salary Range 2: $89,800 USD – $134,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
