Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) sector delivers a decisive advantage to its customers through software-defined, hardware-enabled solutions. The Electrical Assembly Design & Verification section in Linthicum, MD enables these hardware solutions by providing RF microwave and mixed signal architecture, design, verification, and support expertise across a wide variety electronic sensor products. Our engineers work on complex, leading edge, high reliability electronics supporting maritime, ground, airborne, and space platforms.

What You Will Do:

NGMS is seeking engineers with experience and interest in software development and database design including:

Designing, modeling, and verifying RF, microwave, and mixed signal subsystem assemblies
Support verification efforts for RF, Analog, and Digital hardware designs
Create/manage automated test benches for prototype and low production rate systems
Develop/Optimize customer facing software applications for hardware design support
Develop design for testability strategies and methodologies
Collaborating with peer functions such as Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Test
Deriving and trading requirements with subsystem engineers and component level designers
Working directly with component level design peers developing custom RF integrated circuit designs to meet assembly-level requirements
Supporting products throughout the product life cycle

Basic Qualifications:

This position may be filled at either the RF Engineer, Level T02, or RF Principal Engineer, Level T03

Level T02 requirements: Electrical Engineering or related STEM field degree: Bachelor of Science and 2 years of experience, or Master’s degree and 0 years of experience.
Level T03 requirements: Electrical Engineering or related STEM field degree: Bachelor of Science and 5 years of experience, or Master’s degree and 3 years of experience.
Proficiency with software programing languages such as MATLAB, Python, Java, C#
Understanding of fundamentals of electronics, mechanical requirements, and schematic drawings
Hands on experience utilizing test instrumentation such and power supplies, network analyzers, Oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, High speed digital IO
US Citizenship is required
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance

Salary Range: $81,000 USD – $121,600 USD
Salary Range 2: $99,800 USD – $149,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
