Northrop Grumman, Mission Systems is looking for a leader to support the Maritime/Land Systems and Sensors (MLSS) Division’s business and strategy objectives.  The position will support the Naval and Oceanic Systems Business Unit to integrate customer accounts to our capabilities to enable growth in awards and market position.  This role will also support identification and prioritization key internal research and development (R&D) and contract R&D technology projects in order to successfully transition into MLSS sales

The successful candidate would effectively interface and cultivate strategic customer relations with all DoD customers as well as with other primes. Key activities include customer engagement, market assessment, competitive assessment, product development, and with a strong emphasis on capture, strategy and execution. Determining customer operational gaps and requirements and helping establish internal research and development (R&D) priorities to answer these gaps for both domestic and international customers, is crucial. 

This position will involve deep understanding of DoD business practices, requirements generation, and acquisition.   The ability to articulate platform mission utility and MLSS mission solution strategies is critical. 

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Customer interaction management
Long range strategic planning
Requirements identification, generation and interpretation
Pipeline growth and development

Basic Qualifications:

BS degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 7 years of related experience in technical, business development and analysis.
Demonstrated success aligning teams, organizations or employee resource groups to achieve a common goal and developing deep customer relationships through understanding and trust.
Excellent written and oral presentation skills including the ability to generate written material to communicate to customers at all levels, including senior executives.
U.S citizen and active US DoD Secret clearance.
Experience with organic business development for new technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

Active US DoD Top Secret clearance, and SCI clearances.
10 years of demonstrated success in business development roles
Thorough knowledge of US Navy acquisition systems, strategy, and customer base
Deep understanding of Congressional budgeting, and DoD acquisition processes to include Other Transaction Authority (OTA) processes.

Salary Range: $160,200 USD – $240,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
