Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to support the SNAP Department (Strategic Networks, Applications, and Products). Our team focuses on Network Solutions, and supports a variety of technologies across our three departments; C3 Solutions, Strategic Networks, and Small Form Factors. C3 Solutions, specializes in Tactical Data Link processors, emulators, and simulators. Our Strategic Networks team builds solutions to defending our country’s nuclear assets. And lastly, our Small Form Factors Department brings SWaP optimized solutions (Crypto, SDRs, Space Networks) to new domains, bridging us into Space , Weapons, and more. This position will be located in the beautiful city of San Diego, CA, at one of our two locations; Rancho Carmel, or Kearny Mesa.

This position will require onsite work however for this role we are able to offer flexible work arrangements and some remote work will be possible.
Basic Qualifications Sr Principal Software Engineer:
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 9 years of experience; or 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree; or 4 years with a PhD;
– An additional 4 years of relevant experience/education can be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree
Object oriented programming and development: C++, C
Experience working in a Linux Development Environment
Clearance: Candidate must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain an active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance
Familiar with Atlassian Tool Suite tools such as GIT, JIRA, BitBucket
Familiar with CI/CD Pipelines Tools: Jenkins, SonarCube, Fortify
Familiar with Ansible Scripting
Agile development experience
Device I/O experience.
Salary Range: $129,700 USD – $194,500 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
