The Solar Array & Test Section is seeking a highly motivated Test Conductor to coordinate mechanical and electrical assembly as well as a state of the art automated solar cell production line. This position is in Redondo Beach, CA, “2nd Shift, Noon – 9:30 pm”. 

The selected candidate will oversee a crew of mechanical and electronic technicians. In this manufacturing/test floor leadership role, the candidate will help build a culture that empowers employees, establishes personal and team accountability, motivates team performance, encourages development, and supports innovation.

Additional responsibilities include ensuring personnel safety, ensuring quality and safety of hardware, developing near term schedules, tasking technicians, establishing and collecting performance metrics, supporting test engineering development and troubleshooting activities, building a team environment, and driving compliance with policies and procedures including security, property management, environmental, calibration, and training. 

Responsible to ensure production requirements and objectives. Oversee the operational aspects of program demands and serves as liaison to program, engineering and line management. Review status of production orders, manages schedules and prepares reports. Assess anomalies and develops resolutions to documented procedures in conjunction with Manufacturing and Engineering. 

  

Qualifications  

Basic Qualifications: 

-Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of related experience; OR an Associates degree with 4+ years’ of related experience; OR 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree 

-Must have experience in manufacturing environment 

-Must know how to review drawings, process specification, and work orders. 

-Must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office to supplement work order and other data requirements. 

-Previous experience as team lead.

-Leadership experience working in collaboration across multiple organizations, contracts, and/or customer relationships 

  

Preferred Qualifications: 

-Experience soldering flight hardware 

-Experience operating robotic equipment 

-Experience working with MS Project 

Salary Range: $77,100 USD – $115,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
