Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems is seeking multiple System Administrators to support Tactical Space Systems Division in their development and deployment of satellite ground software to customer resources while implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in an agile environment. The location for this role will be in Dulles, VA or Colorado Springs, CO.  This work will primarily occur in a SCIF environment so onsite work is required.

Produce applications that span languages and toolsets including Python, Postgres, Ansible, cloud infrastructure provisioning, PKI, and static code analysis
Locate and remediate problems in code, testing, and deployment

Use tools like Jenkins and Ansible to set up automation steps that fast-track code from development, testing, and deployment

This position can be filled at the Principal System Administrator, or Sr. Principal System Administrator level.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal System Administrator:

Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related discipline plus 6 years of development experience (4 years with a master’s degree).  Experience can be considered in lieu of degree
Demonstrated expertise in administering either Windows or Linux file servers and managing a user base
Clear understanding of sound system engineering and security practices related to system administration
US Citizenship with an active Top Secret Clearance

Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal System Administrator:

Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related discipline plus 10 years of development experience (8 years with a master’s degree).   Experience can be considered in lieu of degree
Demonstrated expertise in administering either Windows or Linux file servers and managing a user base
Clear understanding of sound system engineering practices and security practices related to system administration
Experience in producing software architecture documentation and leading teams of administrators
US Citizenship with an active Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications for All Levels:

Familiarity with Agile framework or Scaled Agile Framework
Familiarity with DevOps practices and how it compliments Agile software development
Experience working with Python preferably on Linux operating systems
Experience working with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, PostgreSQL, SonarQube
Familiarity with virtual machines and templates
Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure provisioning

Salary Range: $95,000 USD – $142,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $117,700 USD – $176,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
