We are currently seeking a Production Planning & Scheduler to support our Deployables division activities in Oxnard, CA. This position provides an exciting technical opportunity in a high-growth, strategically important business for NGSP ( Space Components). We are looking for an individual with exceptional people skills. Our ideal candidate can motivate peers to improve processes and products, has excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. A qualified applicant must have a record of collaborative approach with peers/peer organizations. Specifically, the details of the position are the following:

Primary Responsibilities:

Plan sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations relating to specific portion of the product for guidance of production workers.
Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements
Plan detail operations from digital models, blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, and other design releases.
Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc. schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
Coordinates with Manufacturing Engineering to create/maintain work instructions, visual aids and bill of material in digital environment.
Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
Ensure product requirement defined within released documents is correctly documented within work instructions and ERP system.

This requisition may be filled at either a Production Planning Scheduler level or a Principal Production Planning Scheduler level as per the below Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:

2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 1 year of relevant experience with a Master’s degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Must have experience working with an ERP System.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have the ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:

6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 4 years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Must have experience working with an ERP System.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have the ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in planning/scheduling, process development, quality, or production experience in aerospace, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment 
Experience creating work instructions and visual aids
Experience creating procedures or process manuals
Experience working within the Aeronautics sector. 
Experience reading and interpreting 3D models and Engineering drawings/blueprints
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Bill of Materials (BOM) 
Experience working with Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

Salary Range: $63,800 USD – $95,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $78,500 USD – $117,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
