Internal Job Description
Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications and operating budgets. Acts as customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Assists in efforts for product research, development, production and test. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
Bachelor of Science degree plus 5 years of experience; Masters degree plus 3 years of experience.
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years directly related experience in Program/Project Management
Direct internal customer interface experience
Verbal and written communications with all levels of management
Extensive experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience developing project cost and schedules and managing efforts via EVMS.
Exceptional leader of a multi-disciplined teams including Engineering, Procurement, Configuration Management, Program Management, Quality Assurance, Mission Assurance, System Safety
Extensive experience creating and delivering presentations to internal customers and senior leadership teams.
Thorough understanding of design standards, procurement processes and configuration management.
Ability to work under limited supervision and complete projects on time and on budget.
Familiarity with the LV developed common hardware products.
Experience with NGC Launch Vehicles internal standards, processes & digital tools
Familiarity with MDA MAP & PMAP requirements
Salary Range: $106,400 USD – $159,600 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
