Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented All Source SME to join our team in Maryland.

The Systems Engineer III focuses on DoD 5000.02 artifacts and documentation. The Systems Engineer III is responsible for applying system’s engineering principles throughout the systems lifecycle phases: concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement. The Systems Engineer III interacts with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts. The Systems Engineer III communicates with other TDP project personnel, Government stakeholders, and senior executives. The Systems Engineer III is responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, to include: Technical Process Area, Enterprise Process Area, and Agreement Process Area. The Systems Engineer III contributes to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, initial capability documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents. The Systems Engineer III supervises and mentors subordinate project and Team ManTech staff.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM field. 

5 years of position-relevant work experience.  

DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II. 

Experience with DoD 5000.02 documentation requirements. 

Experience with use case development.  

Experience with requirements derivation. 

Experience with developing technical project artifacts.  

Familiarity with Agile software development process.  

Experience with software engineering processes.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering. 

Master’s degree in STEM field.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
