Electro-Mechanical Production Technician – SIGN ON BONUS

Duties and Responsibilities:
Possess a working knowledge of the national electric code and basic fundamentals of electricity and demonstrates the ability to read and understand electrical schematics, PLC’s, repair and maintenance manuals, and detail drawings.
In consultation with other technicians, performs a wide variety of technical duties including diagnosing/troubleshooting, repair or replacement of electrical and electronic circuits and equipment in support of production operations and electromechanical systems.
Will work on a variety of CNC machines, lathes, mills, vacuum pumps, electronic machine controls/controllers and lasers.
Equal amounts of time will involve troubleshooting equipment and to preventative maintenance.
Candidate must be flexible in their approach to troubleshooting, repair, and general maintenance.
Must be able to take direction from Lead Technicians customers for equipment upgrades and other modifications.
Direction may be communicated verbally or in writing with specifications/schematics.
Performs research on parts, equipment, or other solutions as required to assist engineering and maintenance staff.
Production electrical troubleshooting and repair skills are very important to this position.
Ability to learn production equipment software, including program parameters and operating settings and a solid understanding of programmable logic controllers.
Repairs are typically device level repair (soldering) or replacement.
Under direct supervision, candidate will be assigned daily work.
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively, helps with movement of materials and equipment to work and sets up work site.
Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, while maintaining a clean work environment.
Job may require moderate to heavy lifting.
Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent technical certification and 5-10 years of experience.
Knowledge and experience with SAP Plant Maintenance or other CMMS a plus.
Must be comfortable with working in a production environment following all PPE, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Safety protocols.
Proficient in the use of hand tools and test equipment to troubleshoot production equipment.
Experience in testing and troubleshooting using equipment such as a multi -meter.
Experience in plating and clean lines a plus.
Programming PLC’s is helpful.
Must be fully vaccinated and able to provide vaccination verification.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
