All-Source Air Weapons Analyst
Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Air Weapons All-Source Analyst to join our intelligence analysis team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of air-to-air weapons, air strike weapons, air weapons supply chain, air weapons sub-systems, and/or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) used by potential adversaries. You will contribute to NASIC’s mission by providing crucial insights into the capabilities, vulnerabilities, and strategic implications of these weapons. As an Air Weapons All-Source Analyst, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to inform military decision-making, strategy development, and operational planning. MUST HAVE ACTIVE TS/SCI
Key Responsibilities:
Independently conduct comprehensive analysis of air-to-air weapons, air strike weapons, air weapons supply chain, air weapons sub-systems, and/or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), focusing on performance, technical specifications, guidance systems, payload effectiveness, vulnerabilities, and operational capabilities.
Gather all-source intelligence, including intelligence reports, technical documents, open-source materials, and expert interviews.
Perform in-depth technical assessments of adversary air weapons, including their propulsion systems, sensors, guidance algorithms, and integration with delivery platforms.
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand the latest advancements in aerospace technology and provide insights into potential future capabilities of adversary weapons.
Develop detailed analytical reports and presentations that convey the findings of your analysis, including technical data, visualizations, and strategic implications.
Create collection requirements to fulfill intelligence gaps
Participate in intelligence briefings and contribute to discussions with senior leaders, military planners, and policymakers to shape strategic decisions.
Support the identification of emerging threats, potential gaps in our own capabilities, and opportunities for countering or mitigating the impact of adversary air weapons.
Stay up-to-date with developments in air weapon technology, industry trends, and geopolitical dynamics that may impact the landscape of air combat.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (scientific field a plus)
Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools used for air weapon analysis.
Experience working with NASIC and defense contractors, other military organizations or intelligence agencies.
Strong understanding of air warfare doctrines and tactics.
Strong understanding of ICD 203, 206, and 208
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Clearly and concisely express multifaceted concepts
