Civil/Structural Engineering and Design Internship

KBR’s office in Newark, DE holds a leading role in our Integrated Solutions business, providing engineering and project deliverables to our clients. Services include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.

Civil/Structural Engineering and Design Internship
We are looking for Civil/Structural students interested in an internship for the Summer of 2023 with our Civil/Structural Engineering and Design team. We encourage you to apply and become a member of the KBR Team of Teams!
The key duties and responsibilities for this role include:
Perform structural calculations under supervision of a senior engineer,
Perform structural drafting on concrete and steel drawings under direct supervision
Prepare construction specifications under direct supervision
Assist senior engineers or designers with organizing/preparing reports, studies, or bid packages
The learning objectives for this role include:
Expose students to all aspects of a structural engineering job in a full-service design engineering office
Involve students in practical design work, expanding on their subject specific knowledge obtained in the college curriculum
Expose students to the non-course related side of a design office engineering position
Job Requirements
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, seeking a baccalaureate, master’s, or doctoral degree; or recently graduated from an accredited college or university with a baccalaureate, master’s, or doctoral degree.
Good academic standing as established by your college or university
Have a declared degree and major appropriate for the position
