Huntington Ingalls Industries is looking for a talented, motivated Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) Intelligence Analyst to develop processes, methodologies, models, and communication tools that will enable our DOD Forces to achieve EMS superiority and EMS control across all operational domains (air, ground, maritime, space, and cyber) and operational functions. These teams will provide Joint Force elements and Service units the authoritative technical and operational information required to achieve EMS superiority and conduct EMS operations.
The position is in San Antonio, Texas on Lackland Air Force Base.
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Research the EMS dependency of red, blue and neutral systems using multiple data sources
• Gather and organize EMS-dependent system parameters from databases, program offices and manufacturers
• Assess the capabilities of EMS-dependent systems, their vulnerability to countermeasures and the systems’ ability to adapt to the countermeasures
• Produce documents of varying analytical depth on EMS-dependent system performance and vulnerability
• Characterize the electromagnetic operating environment within a combatant command area of responsibility
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent military technical training and two (2) years of combined experience in signals intelligence, spectrum management, or other EMS-related operations; or six (6) years of combined experience in signals intelligence, spectrum management, or other EMS-related operations without a bachelor’s degree
Two (2) years of combined experience with software tools and technologies ESRI ArcGIS/ArcInfo, FADE/MIST, and Dynamic Information Operations Decision Environment (DIODE)
Two (2) years of combined experience with preparing requests for information, interacting with intelligence systems such as Coliseum, and the MIDB, NIODB, USELMS, EWIR, and MEPED
Must have active TS/SCI security clearance
Preferred Requirements
• Graduate of a DOD electromagnetic warfare course
• Three (3) years of combined experience in performing operational and technical signal intelligence functions to include the extraction of technical parameters for radar, communications, and sensor systems
• Two (2) or more years of combined experience with software technologies BUILDER, IMOM/IMOM Engineer, SEEFAR/JAMS, or similar physics-based models
• Education, experience, or certification courses completed across a wide range of EMS disciplines with ELINT, COMINT, and MASINT collection processes, capabilities, and technical parameters
• Knowledge of the EW reprogramming process and intelligence databases containing EMS-related data
Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
