Summary
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking an All-Source Intelligence Analyst with Korean Language Skills to support the United States Forces Korea (USFK), Assistant Chief of Staff, J2 (ACofS, J2) and the Joint Intelligence Operations Center- Korea (JIOC-K) in their mission to provide timely intelligence to Commander, USFK, Combined Forces Command, the combined battle staff, and war fighter component commanders.
The JIOC-K’s efforts focus on detecting enemy threats, managing intelligence, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) activities, analyzing enemy actions and information to determine enemy’s probable courses of action.
The overall analytic effort strengthens Defense Intelligence and provides relevant, timely, objective, and cogent all-source Defense Intelligence to the Commander and other users, and transforming theater intelligence activities to better leverage the capabilities of the theater and global intelligence communities and safeguard United States personnel and interests within the Korea Theater of Operations (KTO). What you will do
Produce intelligence products associated with North Korea including, but not limited to, the topics of: military, political leadership, national military strategy, strategic doctrine, regional relations, and security issues
Assist intelligence assessments pertaining to a specific country and/or region based on their political and/or military capabilities
Maintain and manipulate intelligence information sharing databases, data formats/products, and shared directories
Conduct all-source analysis, with the primary focus on air, naval, ground, Political and Economic (P&E), missile, Special Operations Forces (SOF), and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)
Track and coordinate intelligence production requirements; preparing studies, publications, and briefings
Attend and serve as SME for intel related conferences, meetings, exercises and working groups
Assist in identifying potential high interest intelligence
Prepare Intelligence Information Reports (IIR)
Develop project data used to draw conclusions and estimates probabilities based on historical and current collection data
Translate and conduct a quality review, and update as necessary, all documents and products from Korean to English and English to Korean; as requested by the Government
What we are looking for
0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience
Must have a minimum of a Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) test score 3/3 or equivalent in Korean and English
Must understand essentials of all speech, including technical, grasps opinion and inference, reads a variety of prose on unfamiliar subjects that may include opinions and hypothesis, participates effectively in most formal and informal discourse on practical, social, and professional topics within a shared context
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance, with a continued ability to obtain a Poly
Bonus points for…
Bachelors or Masters with 4-6 years of experience, or specialized training and 4-8 years of experience; or equivalent academic experience
3 years translation experience and an excellent command of the English and Korean language, with the ability to provide clear and concise, oral and written communication
Familiar with the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) for Korea
Attended/served as SME for intel related conferences, meetings, exercises and working groups
Excellent organization skills
Extensive experience with COLISEUM, MIDB, CHROME, HOTR, CRATE, and Intellipedia
Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
