Senior Product Designer
The Enterprise Data Services (EDX) at RTX is seeking highly skilled design and technology practitioner that can wrangle the complex challenges at the heart of RTX’s businesses and leaders that can help our group grow. We equip RTX and its business units with data-driven insights, tools, and capabilities that derive value from data for operational efficiency and competitive advantage at scale.

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer with deep design expertise to help create an industry-leading enterprise data platform and supporting products and services. As a member of a collaborative, cross-functional team, you will lead initiatives to define key aspects of our data products and services from the look-and-feel to discrete interactions that deliver insights. Your core responsibilities will be to synthesize user perspectives, business needs and interaction design documentation into beautiful, functional and pixel-accurate designs and collaborate with developers to bring those designs to life.
Responsibilities:
Communicate and present work effectively.
Drive the evolution of our visual language and design standards.
Translate data from difficult-to-digest contexts to beautiful data visualization to communicate insights.
Contribute to and manage existing design system.
Create pixel-perfect interfaces and form factors, large displays to mobile phones.
Create high-quality artifacts that communicate critical concepts of data products, including presentations that detail product strategy and experiences.
Help define, review and refine user stories, prototypes, and related project documentation.
Liaise with production discipline and design team to ensure deadlines are met.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues (e.g., product managers, project managers, user experience, strategist & researcher, data scientists and front end & back-end developers), business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
Present design work, articulating underlying motivations and supporting decisions through user-driven insights.

Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of experience designing software, applications and/or digital products.
Accuracy and obsessive attention to details and fundamentals.
Ability to create high-quality visual artifacts— sketches, mood boards, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs — that communicate concepts to users, team members, project stakeholders, and leadership.
Comfortable with data visualization, best practices, and standards
Mastery of design and presentation tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and PowerPoint.
Experience using, working with and building component-based design systems.
Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with accessibility standards and how to design for them.
US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fluency with simple prototyping tools, such as Figma, and a plus with more advanced prototyping tools that offer richer interaction and animation capabilities, working with HTML / CSS Frameworks is a plus.
Propensity for self-directed problem-solving and the ability to work with limited guidance.

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD – 236,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
