The following position is to join our Corporate or Research Center Team: 

Primary Responsibility:

The following role is available in our Federal Income Tax Compliance department, which is a subgroup of the Tax Reporting and Compliance section of the Tax Department

Assist in the preparation and/or review of federal income tax returns, extensions, estimates, return to accrual, and related workpapers.  Assist in the preparation and/or review of forecasted and actual taxable income calculations.

Major Responsibilities

Prepare/review federal income tax returns and supporting workpapers
Prepare/review federal extension and estimated tax calculations
Prepare federal return to accrual reconciliations
Assist with federal consolidation and analysis
Assist in gathering data and supporting responses to IRS audit requests
Review federal data collect packages
Assist in preparation and review of quarterly tax provisions and YE close
Assist in process related initiatives aligning reporting and compliance
Interface with other tax and finance groups regarding federal compliance functions

Position Requirements

Solid experience with Corp Tax, HFM, Longview and SAP, a plus
Technical Skills & Enabling Competencies
Working knowledge of tax accounting theory, including ASC 740
General knowledge of tax planning and reporting functions
Understanding of the impact of income taxes on the financial statements and of opportunities to combine tax and accounting knowledge to improve business results
Understand major steps in federal compliance process, from data gathering, identifying required workpapers and performing review of returns
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively with others throughout tax and finance organizations, at HQ and business units
Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure

Education & Experience

This role typically requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, tax or business and at least 8 years relevant professional experience or a master’s degree and 5 years’ experience obtained in a large multi-national, corporate tax or Public accounting firm environment

Desired Education/Certification

Master’s degree in Accounting, or Tax
CPA

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
