We are searcing for a Thermal Control Systems Engineer for Collins Italy Luserna San Giovanni (TO) site

Primary Responsibilities:

Join the engineering Thermal Control Systems (TCS) team, supporting design and development of Environmental Control Systems (Vapour and Air cycles) as well as manufacturing processes for Root Cause and Corrective Actions analysis. Address issues resolution in a team-working environment; develop design solutions to problems of varying complexity, assuring high quality technical content and timely closure. Prepare, review and maintain the program documentations, engineering schematics, specifications and technical analyses necessary to support product development and industrialization.

Performance calculations for Air Cycles and Vapour Cycles systems
Execute tests in laboratory environment and deeply analyse results, write clear and complete test reports in good English
Analyse technical issues to isolate Root Cause and define Corrective Actions
Support customers and manage technical aspects with suppliers
Establishing, maintaining, and adhering to a product development plan for the development projects and to project cost goals
Coordination of engineering activity with other departments
Reporting project status data to Engineering Management and Program Office in support of periodic project and program reviews, attend teleconference, design reviews and program status reviews
Interfacing with the Operations department in order to support the manufacturing processes
Ability to organize and execute tasks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
Understanding of aerospace product development processes
Condensate Customer technical requirements into systems architectural and detailed design, complying with aerospace qualification and certification standards.
Manage modifications and improvements on legacy products, in accordance with internal procedures, configuration management manuals and obsolescence plan.
Follow all set of quality standards and engineering principles and best practices, direct instructions for manuals, assembly instructions, testing and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

Master degree in an engineering discipline (Aerospace or Mechanical preferred). PHD will be a preference for selection.
Required 3+ years of Engineering experience preferably in an aerospace development environment, including experience in complex projects.
Background in Thermal Control preferably for the aerospace and defense industry. Mechanical and Hydraulics can be an alternative experience.
Team player, demonstrating positive and collaborative attitude
Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and strategize for better design solutions
Competencies:
Microsoft Office Tools,
Project Scheduling Tools,
Matlab and Simulink environment
Familiarity with aerospace industry development and certification processes

Language:

Good Italian and English (written and oral)
