We are currently searching for a Systems Engineer to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA. A comprehensive relocation package is available for qualified candidates. As a Systems Engineer on the Advanced Data Links Team, you will be part of a multi-functional team comprised of Systems and Hardware engineers leading development of our next generation communications products supporting our military and their partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities of this position include leading engineering systems efforts throughout the   system lifecycle, including subsystem requirements analysis, definition, and validation; systems and card level integration and requirements verification testing; effective technical collaboration among systems, hardware and software design functions; assisting in resolving technical problems that cross functional domain areas of hardware and software; and supporting customer platform integration.

Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or Science field
2-5 years of Experience working as an engineer in a development environment
Familiarity with systems development process, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, and verification/validation, and transition to production. 
Experience in multiple stages of development life cycle.
Must be capable to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.
Ability to travel

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong Preference for current DoD Secret Clearance.
Familiarity with design and development to meet environment and EMI standards such as MIL-STD-810
Familiarity with comm engineering architectures (e.g: general radio transceiver architectures/designs, basic radio functional component blocks, performance specifications and test methodologies)
Knowledge of RF propagation, testing,
Experience working with and testing embedded hardware and software
Familiarity with engineering development in an agile environment.
Experience with Python scripting, Matlab, and similar engineering tools
