Position Role Type:

This position is for an experienced professional in Program Management (Value Stream) who will lead key programs and projects for the Interiors Evacuation Systems business in Phoenix, Arizona.  The Sr Program Manager will be the primary customer interface, lead the Individual Program Teams (IPT) on large commercial programs, recommend resolutions for medium to complex program topics, maintain internal / external progress reports, and participate in and lead contract negotiations.  Candidate must be detail oriented, and possess critical thinking skills to provide recommendations that are in alignment with the organization’s strategy and goals

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for Profit and Loss of large program and project value streams
Leads risk and opportunity management for the program
Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests
Leads large programs to support the development of program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility
Establishes key performance indicators and directs work to achieve these targets
Analyzes data and monitors programs to ensure adherence to cost, schedule and technical specifications
Maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program(s) to Senior Leadership and Customers
Implements continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality, specifically utilizing CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), lean, or six sigma methodology
Identifies and addresses program problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful performance of programs
Leads program work with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with the customer program objectives
Directs all program phases from inception through completion
Interfaces with customers for program requirements to ensure successful completion
Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

PMP Preferred

EVMS Experience Preferred
