Position Overview:
This position is for an entry level software engineer on the Fixed and Rotary Wing System Integration Team within the Military Avionics & Helicopters department of Avionics Engineering at Collins Aerospace. As a Software Engineer on the System Integration team, you will work closely with systems and software teams to provide the system operating environment to meet the system design for military avionics platforms. You will participate in system design, integration of subsystems, lab integration and troubleshooting of complex systems, and testing of software and hardware systems.

Primary Responsibilities:
Logical Interface Design
System Configuration Files
Network Configuration Tables
Virtual Machine Configuration Table
System I/O Configuration Tables
Creation of Collins Avionics system field-loadable mediasets
Work with Collins and third-party flight deck equipment in the lab
Set up and support of software development and test environment
System integration facilities
Software development stations
General lab support to systems and sub-systems teams
Measurement of system technical performance measures
System configuration release coordination
Software/Hardware troubleshooting
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and less than 12 months prior relevant experience
Must be U.S. Person
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with C/C++ programming languages
Experience with Python scripting
Experience with interface definition and network protocols
Strong written and oral communication skills
