The Autonomy & Flight Control Solutions (A&FCS) team is seeking a recognized professional in Value Stream Leadership (VSL) to join our team as a Senior Manager (individual contributor) for Autonomy & Flight Control Solutions (AFCS) Programs and Products. This person drives strategic planning efforts, develops milestones, spearhead solutions for program problems, oversee the P&L and manages multiple important business to business/government relationships and leads contract negotiations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Leads large and/or medium sized programs to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility.

Oversee P&L of the program to ensure that profitability targets are met, and manages multiple important vendors

Establishes milestones, develops and owns program plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitors allocation of resources.

Reviews and presents plans and progress reports, monitors the presentation of value-stream strategy, progress, and results.

Drives strategic planning efforts for Large and/or complex programs.

Leads continuous improvement including initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.

Identifies and reacts to program problems and recommends solutions, such as allocation of resources and changing contractual specifications, and assists in resolution development for escalated problems.

Develops new business growth strategies.

Drives/leads responses to customer action items.

Leads the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests.

Directs all program phases from inception through completion.

Interfaces with customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion.

Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.

Coordinates the negotiation, proposals, business plans, budgets and contracts for programs.

Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR

Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience OR

In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required

U.S. Citizenship required

Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.  Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to travel regularly, including international

Existing US DoD Security Clearance

Experience with Collins Management System (CMS)

Experience with Autonomy & Flight Controls targeting Group 2/3/4 UAS Platforms
