Our Cedar Rapids team is seeking a task focused and career minded individual to join as a Senior Logistics Technician to work onsite in a fast-paced environment. This individual will work closely with management, support staff, production teams, carriers, and customers to coordinate accurate and timely delivery, both domestic and international. Also responsible to work with supervisors to assist with training and assigning work. Hours are 10AM – 6:30PM
Primary Responsibilities:
Works with general supervision.
Safety minded and actively contribute to One Collins culture.
Coordinate outbound shipments in accordance with customer expectations and specifications.
Maintain accurate data and records in compliance with company, DCMA and Sarbanes-Oxley standards.
Effective and timely communication.
Be an agent of change, actively engage in root cause and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain strong customer satisfaction levels with on time delivery, accuracy, and responsiveness.
Manage customer integration strategies (VMI/3PL/supermarkets) and import/export controls.
Basic Qualifications:
HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent resident “Green Card” holder
Must have excellent communication, organization skills and strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP ERP2, WAWF, TMS, EEMS, and/or DCMA eTools
Knowledge of export shipment rules/regulations
Experience shipping Military assets using government shipping software systems
HAZMAT certification
