The Sr Systems / Project Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of aircraft lavatory systems through all the phases of the product lifecycle including preliminary design, development, certification and product support. The ideal candidate has a desire for continual learning with excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, innovative, well-organized, able to handle and prioritize multiple assignments, able to communicate effectively both orally and written and able to work effectively across several different functional areas in a collaborative environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Define, plan, and develop complex systems level requirements to define and develop lavatory systems for aircraft interiors.
Direct interaction with Aircraft OEM System/Project Engineers to ensure designs meet aircraft and customer defined requirements for a new lavatory position. 
Decompose customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements and generating verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Manage configuration process, perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, and interface definition studies.
Explore design options for mechanical, fluid flow, and fluid storage components utilizing systems engineering principles.
Interface with suppliers to ensure components technical requirements are met to support project development need dates.
Perform system evaluation and analysis to verify the system design compliance with functional requirements.
Coordinate with cross-functional team members to complete assignments/projects as defined
Provide technical support for troubleshooting, root cause analysis and corrective action
Preparation and presentation of technical data in design reviews
Review and create Qualification Test Plans, Procedures and Reports
Ability to work independently and within a multi-functional team environment. Ability to support production and customer service to trouble shoot and recommend solutions to component and system issues
Knowledge of best practices for Requirements Management in an Engineering context 
FMEA and FMECA experience using PLM tools such as Siemens Teamcenter and requirements management tools such as IBM Doors is a plus.
Knowledge of RTCA/DO-160, RTCA/DO-178 and RTCA/DO-254 processes is a plus

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR  
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR  
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required  
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. 
U.S. Person or Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

Broad knowledge of project management.
Ideally with a mechanical engineering background, but open to others with experience in systems integration
Experience in projecting engineering preferred
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
Ability to work in a hybrid capacity out of our Everett, WA location
