This position is for an established Product Quality Engineering professional. Influences process and planning decisions with knowledge and explanations of Quality Engineering policies, practices, and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze Quality data and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support reduction in internal/external escapes, and scrap/rework using RRCA and continuous improvement tools.
Fully support Quality Improvement projects/events as either a leader of the project/event or as a support member.
Create and modify Quality Plans for application to subassemblies and major assemblies.
Supports internal, customer, and third-party audits.
Drive preventive actions and application of mistake proofing into production and quality processes.
Review product FAI’s.
Prepare and present reports to all levels of organization.
Provide training on Quality topics to shop floor team as required.
Influence peers and advocate for Quality improvement as part of a larger manufacturing support team.
Become proficient in AS9100 and Collins Aerospace Quality Management System requirements.
Gain product specific knowledge relevant to production areas supported.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience.
OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.
Experience using RRCA, PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow Diagrams and Control Plans, etc.).
Experience supporting AS9100 Quality Management System requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
NADCAP experience.
Welding, Machining and/or Assembly background.
