As our Linux System Administrator, you will be managing and developing systems on a global scale to help the Aviation industry move undisrupted. You will be responsible for the messaging data in transit to ensure the on-time arrival for you, your friends and families, and all passengers flying around the globe. The systems you will be managing support over 1,500 aviation customers transmitting over 75 million messages per day across the Aviation community. We are looking for a self-starter and a team player with an ambitious and diverse technical background to support and contribute to this incredible mission.

Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on expertise to address the development, implementation, administration, and operation of COT products to work seamlessly with a large scaled proprietary message queuing service.
Apply your knowledge of Linux, containers, and Kubernetes, along with your knowledge of TCP/IP networking to support customized solutions for our customers.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Experience with Rapid7 configurations and scanning strategies in a production Linux environment
Experience with anti-virus configurations and scanning strategies in a production Linux environment
Experience with IBM MQ Series to work seamlessly with Rapid7 and anti-virus scanners
Experience with RDQM on a large scaled HA Linux environment
Experience managing Bare-Metal Kubernetes Infrastructure; must have strong hands-on experience with k8s and strong experience building, managing, and deploying microservices into Kubernetes.
Minimum 3 years of experience is required for the following COTs: Rapid7, Anti-Virus, IBM MQ Series, RDQM, and Kubernetes
Excellent verbal skills
Excellent documentation and writing skills
Able to support nights and weekends as needed
Works well in team collaboration environments
Must be a U.S. Citizen or GC Holder

The salary range for this role is $70,000.00 to $152,000.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
