We are looking for an experienced, self-starter Facilities Engineer at the Santa Fe Springs facility. This position is for a seasoned professional in Facilities, who works independently, implements requisite changes and new or modified plans. Inspects projects, participates in cross functional teams, performs prebuilding assessments, and plans maintenance activities. Responsible for improvements in Facilities processes to enhance Facilities team performance.
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Primary Responsibilities:
Implements requisite changes relative to facility or equipment specifications and organization or government restrictions to ensure compliance with the norms.
Implements new or modified plans in response to delays, bad weather, or site emergencies.
Inspects or reviews projects to evaluate compliance with building and safety codes or other regulations to ensure a safe workplace.
Participates in cross-functional teams to ensure building security and safety at multiple sites.
Performs, or recommends contractors to perform, prebuilding assessments such as conceptual cost estimating, rough order of magnitude estimating, feasibility, or energy assessments.
Plans, organizes, and schedules activities, which may include maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of organization facilities, to ensure proper functioning of facilities.
Supports 24/7 chemical manufacturing process; works closely with manufacturing engineers.
Supports and implements Lean manufacturing principles and initiatives.
Implements DCS modifications and improvements within Emerson DeltaV.
Manages a wide variety of projects, including CapEx projects, using standard project management tools and knowledge.
Support Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically Requires: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant Facilities Engineering/Project management experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ elevant Facilities Engineering/Project management experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant Facilities Engineering/Project Management experience is required
Experience with industrial process equipment (steam boilers, cooling towers, induction heating systems, steam ejector/condenser system, and variable frequency drives)
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with programming and troubleshooting of automation systems/DCS/PLCs logic/industrial communication protocols (modbus tcp, ethernet IP, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel and Project
Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD programs
Experience with building security systems (security cameras, intrusion detection, and access control systems)
Experience with installation and relocation of machinery

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD – 176,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
