The Principal Quality Engineer is a leader who collaborates to achieve objectives and provide direction across the Air Management Systems site ensuring a healthy product quality signature. The Principal Quality Engineer is part of a best-in-class team working together towards one goal – being the best aerospace company in the world.

This is an essential Onsite position at the Windsor Locks, CT facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide technical guidance and support and maintain a strong working relationship with the operations team.
Lead investigations and analyze any hardware/assembly concerns causing quality and delivery issues by reviewing procedures and specifications to ensure compliances.
Determine the proper disposition of nonconforming material when participating in Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
Generate, maintain and provide quality metrics to the Air Management team and oversee execution of quality improvement programs
Establish and maintain customer relations for the different part families related to Air Management Systems.
Serve as a liaison to the government and customer representatives for the quality discipline
Lead teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Preferred Qualifications:
Aerospace or Automotive Quality experience
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
SAP and material review board (MRB) experience.
Continuous Improvement experience and certifications are a plus
