The Aircraft Connectivity Support team is seeking an Avionics Support/Aviation Network Specialist to support the CAS Flight Support and Cabin Connectivity business units in a 24/7 rotational team.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Aircraft Connectivity Support Specialist will display high integrity and flexibility to support a fully remote 24/7 rotational schedule.

The Aircraft Connectivity Support Specialist will be responsible for providing avionics, aircraft, and systems troubleshooting support to both existing and prospective customers.

The candidate will also use his/her extraordinary customer service skills to provide training and activation support to newly added customers. The candidate must be able to articulate technical material to both technical and non-technical individuals. The candidate will work closely with system and software engineering on product enhancements, new product testing, and R&D.

Provide remote technical guidance for CAS aircraft connectivity products and services, including flight planning, weather, flight deck and cabin communications systems. Support for avionics systems includes VHF datalink, Inmarsat, and Iridium data, voice, and internet services.

 Provide avionics configuration support, troubleshooting support, and comprehensive applications to a diverse customer base. The candidate will be identifying and working problems in both the flight deck and cabin environments.

Gather regional requirements and act as a liaison between customers, prospects, OEMs, Service Centers, other CAS staff. Identify obstacles to product growth and propose solutions/action items. Serve as a customer advocate and as an internal customer for product enhancements.

Provide assistance as a service implementation coordinator. Provision, configure, test, troubleshoot and train new services including ACARS, Iridium, FANS1A+, CPDLC/ADS-C, Inmarsat including Classic Data and Voice communication, Swift Broadband, and Jet ConneX.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR

In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
