Collins Aerospace Avionics Engineering Tools (AET) organization has an opportunity for a Principal Software Engineer with a passion for problem solving and satisfying customer needs in the development of software solutions for internal Engineering customers. This position will be focused on development opportunities in support of our Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps or DSO) strategic initiative. Additional opportunities with advancing our Engineering tool solutions include enhancements and customizations for our suite of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) collaboration and change management applications.

Primary Responsibilities:
Product Owner (PO) for an Agile software development team
Coordinate meetings designed to solicit input and feedback from engineering communities
Contribute to software engineering requirements capture, analysis, and creation for well-defined software designs
Present plans/status updates to leadership for assigned projects
Mentor less experienced Engineers in proper software design, code, integration, testing, and documentation
Design, code, integrate, regression test, test, and document software
Perform in cross-functional team efforts in integration, verification, and validation for products
Basic Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Experience developing software with Object Oriented languages such as Java, C#, C++
Experience with real time embedded systems programming and practices
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience working with DevSecOps processes or with DevOps processes and have a desire to learn how to introduce security aspects associated with DevSecOps
Demonstrated experience working with Agile teams
A working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD – 196,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
