The Avionics Video and Graphics FPGA/ASIC Team is searching for a Principal Verification Engineer to join our team. We like to learn, have fun, and make a difference! This position will be responsible for the verification of graphics and video processing FPGAs and ASICs. We are responsible for designing products for both commercial and military avionics as well as ground vehicles.

We are looking for a strong, passionate problem-solver with an action-oriented, collaborative mindset who strives to exceed expectations. This person will be in a cross-disciplinary team environment and will need to be able to thrive on tackling challenges, as the position requires the use of problem-solving skills in a hands-on work environment to address problems and implement the appropriate design or process improvements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Create verification documentation in accordance with DO-254
Perform verification activities to satisfy objectives of DO-254
Participate in audits to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience OR
In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Experience with System Verilog
Experience with Tech Bench generation (including drivers, checkers, assertions, etc.)
Experience using FPGA simulation tools
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively document and present one’s work and status
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with DO-254 development and verification process
Experience with Universal Verification Method (UVM) or OVM
Experience with QuestaSim
Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new programs/software

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD – 196,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
