Become part of a growing Avionics FPGA/ASIC team.  This position is for a highly experienced, highly motivated Electrical or Computer Engineer that will be involved in the design, implementation, verification and integration of a wide variety of high-performance digital systems that incorporate ASICs and FPGAs into displays product solutions. As an engineer in this organization, you will be employing best practice design and certification methodologies supporting our next generation of Avionics Displays and Computer Products, in addition to numerous products enterprise-wide.

Job Responsibilities:

Requirements capture, decomposition, and traceability.
ASIC/FPGA digital architecture and design.
RTL coding and simulation in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
Create placement and timing constraints.
Perform synthesis, place and route.
Perform static timing analysis, linting analysis, and clock-domain-crossing analysis.
Create DO-254 DAL-A certification artifacts for Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH).
Conduct and/or participate in peer reviews throughout product lifecycle.
Communicate well with a wide variety of individuals including Engineering, Program Management, internal leadership and customers.
Recommend new tools and practices for continuous improvement in the group’s ASIC/FPGA design flow.
Provide guidance or mentor other engineers with a variety of skills and backgrounds.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR  
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR  
In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required  
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. 
Experience writing RTL and/or testbenches using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
Experience using FPGA simulation and vendor specific tools (e.g.  Questasim, Vivado, Libero, etc.).
Ability to work with minimal supervision, as part of a team of engineers with a variety of skills and backgrounds, matrixed into projects with aggressive schedules and frequent milestones.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel (domestic and international <10%). Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with DO-254 design assurance activities for ASIC or FPGA developments. Experience with Linux (or Unix), scripting, C/C++, Python, and/or Perl. Familiarity with best practice chip-level verification techniques and languages (e.g. constrained random, functional coverage, code coverage, LEC, SystemVerilog). Experience interacting with domestic and international partners. Experience successfully managing cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
